Narrative description of Project: Module 1 of the HULC training was conducted on 22, 23 and 25 January 2007 and during this period participants were trained on key concepts, action-research methods, principles of leadership, and an introduction to Total Quality Management (TQM) and how this can be applied to addressing complex problems like social determinants in rapidly changing urban settings. Module 2 was conducted from 31 January – 2 February 2007 and during this period, participants were trained on developing strategies and preparing a project plan to address social determinants of health within small intersectoral teams. Module 3 of the HULC training was conducted from 7th to 9th August 2007. During this period the participants were trained on action reflection process, review of the experiences of HULC projects, participatory action research, building social capital for health equity, social technology grid, developing an advocacy plan for HULC project. |
